So long 2024! Hello 2025! We’re halfway through the decade and I’ve got a lot more to say about the entertainment industry in the coming year. If you’ve been reading this blog and you plan to continue doing so, thank you for following me down the nerdy rabbit hole of show business. It’s my goal to shine a light on the history of art and entertainment so that people will appreciate them on a deeper level. It’s also my hope that my passion and enthusiasm for film, television and games will rub off on people and that my eclectic deep dives into a wide variety of mediums and genres will inspire people to try certain films, shows, etc., that they may not have heard of or been interested in before.

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of NBC’s variety show Saturday Night Live and I plan to celebrate by writing articles about some of the many writers and comedians behind the show’s colossal success. I will also be chronicling the most important moments in the program’s history from the seventies to today and explaining why SNL is so historically significant in the way that it changed television and pop culture when a younger generation of comedians started breaking all the rules. It’s going to be a wild ride. The history of SNL is full of seedy behavior, insane personalities and a lot of heartbreaking lows and world-changing highs, and I’m going to write about all of it, so put on your bee costume, get pumped up and pack your Totino’s because we’re going to spend the year in New York.
