As 2023 comes to an end, I’d like to take this time to thank everyone who reads my blog. Exploring the history of the entertainment industry is really fun, which is why I’ve been writing articles here since 2017. In fact I would continue to write these articles even if I had zero subscribers, so thank you to everyone who shows love to my writing through subscribing, liking and leaving comments.

Art and commerce have always made strange bedfellows, no matter how codependent the two may be for the prosperity of the entertainment industry, and there is no greater example of the friction between artists and corporations than when organizations like the WGA and SAG-AFTRA go on strike like they did in 2023. An event that only illustrated more clearly to me how essential I think it is that filmgoers, television viewers, gamers and all art consumers do not forget how utterly essential artists, writers and every worker in the thick of the creative process is to the entertainment we enjoy every single year. That’s why I really want to dedicate 2024 to writing more articles about the individuals behind the creative process which drives the industry and helps it grow. Particularly those who go outside the boundaries of convention and speak to audiences in innovative and exciting ways. In other words, the artists and storytellers who I respect the most. Until then, have a great year and enjoy 2024!
