2022 is almost over so I would like to use that as an opportunity to thank all the readers of this blog! I know you are here because, like me, you are a fan of the creative arts, which is why I love learning about, writing about and teaching people about the history of the entertainment industry.

As you may know, 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the day Walt Disney and his brother Roy O. Disney founded The Walt Disney Company, which has not only become a global entertainment giant and the most highly regarded family brand in America, but is also my favorite studio because they are responsible for most of my favorite films. To celebrate that occasion, I plan to write a lot of articles related to Disney in the coming year. I have already written a ten-part series of blogs about Disney’s history back in 2017, but now I am planning to dive deeper into specific aspects of the company as well as the people behind the scenes who are responsible for all the Disney “magic.” Plus every month leading up to the company’s anniversary in October I am planning to write special essays highlighting the things I love most about the company and why it is so special to me personally. By the end you will understand why I am such a huge Disney geek.
